The Climate Project
The Climate Project, (TCP) is a nonprofit social enterprise with its global headquarters based in Nashville, TN, began operations in June 2006 with the mission of increasing public awareness of the climate crisis at a grassroots level around the world.
Since 2006 a diverse group of over 2,000 presenters have been trained by Al Gore himself to present a version of the slide show featured in the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. As of October 2008, they had delivered nearly 25,000 presentations and reached a combined audience of 4 million people.
The Climate Project has established an official presence in the United States, Canada, Australia, India, Great Britain, Mexico, Israel, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Indonesia and Singapore.
The Climate Project's is also expanding its mission to incorporate a greater emphasis on "solutions" through partnerships with the public and private sector.
